Present participe

La construction du participe présent se fait à l'aide de l'infinitif du verbe, auquel on ajoute -ing.

Be	Being	Étant
Wait	Waiting	Attendant
Finish	Finishing	Finissant

Le participe présent est souvent accompagné des mots IN, BY et WHILE 'ou WHILST).

Whilst waiting for his train, he bought a newspaper = Pendant qu'il attendait son train, il acheta un journal

By reading an English newspaper, I have learned many words = J'ai appris beaucoup de mots en lisant un journal anglais

He saw that he had made a mistake in trusting his wife = Il se rendit compte qu'il avait eu tort de faire confiance à sa femme
